Redeuntes tandem domum Theoros, cives in occursum egressi, festivis acclamationibus passisque portis excipiebant. Unde ille apud Euripidem in Hippol. queritur:
Οὐ γάρ τις μ᾿ ὡς θεωρὸν ἀξιοῖ δόμος,
Πύλας ἀνοίξας εὐφρόνως προσεννέπειν.
